Guinea pigs, although small, require attention daily. Guinea pigs require a hutch with bedding, food, water and access to exercise. Guinea pigs have continually growing incisor teeth, which need to be gnawed down. However, if the guinea pig does not naturally gnaw these down, a trip to the veterinarian may be required.
Guinea pigs naturally eat grass and plant materials. Nevertheless, guinea pig food can be purchased from pet shops and some large supermarket chains.
